What Is Upper Body Block Supplement?

Upper Body Block Supplement is a traditional Chinese herbal formula designed to support healthy blood circulation, promote Qi flow, support upper body wellness, and maintain comfortable movement of the hands, arms, elbows, shoulders, neck, and chest.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), healthy circulation depends on the smooth movement of Qi and Blood throughout the body's channels and collaterals. When Blood Stasis and Qi stagnation occur in the upper body, circulation may become restricted, leading to localized discomfort, stiffness, visible enlarged veins on the hands and arms, tension, and reduced mobility.

Individuals experiencing upper body Blood Stasis may notice enlarged or raised veins on the hands and forearms, occasional chest discomfort associated with poor circulation, tennis elbow symptoms, localized pain that remains in the same area, headaches, shoulder tightness, arm discomfort, or a feeling of heaviness and restricted movement. Traditional Chinese Medicine recognizes these patterns as signs that Blood and Qi are not circulating freely.

Upper Body Block Supplement is an empirical herbal blend based on traditional Chinese herbal principles and is commonly chosen by individuals seeking support for healthy blood circulation, upper body circulation, Qi movement, enlarged veins on the hands and arms, tennis elbow support, comfortable movement, and overall upper body vitality. The carefully selected herbs are traditionally used to invigorate Blood, promote Qi circulation, reduce Blood Stasis, and support the body's natural balance while maintaining healthy circulation throughout the upper body.*

Visible Enlarged Hand Veins

Some individuals notice enlarged, raised, or more prominent veins on the backs of the hands. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, visible hand veins may reflect reduced circulation or long-standing Blood stagnation affecting the upper body.

Forearm Tightness or Muscle Fatigue

Some individuals experience persistent tightness, fatigue, soreness, or reduced endurance in the forearms during routine work, sports, gardening, lifting, or computer use.

Hand Fatigue During Repetitive Activities

Writing, typing, crafting, gripping tools, or other repetitive hand movements may become more uncomfortable when circulation is reduced. Individuals may notice tiredness, heaviness, or reduced endurance in the hands.

Cold Hands or Poor Upper Body Circulation

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, reduced circulation may contribute to hands that frequently feel cool, lack warmth, or become uncomfortable during colder weather or periods of inactivity.

Upper Body Tension Associated with Qi Stagnation

Qi stagnation may contribute to tightness, restricted movement, muscle tension, or discomfort throughout the neck, shoulders, chest, arms, elbows, and hands, particularly during periods of stress or prolonged posture.

Diet and Lifestyle Tips for Upper Body Circulation Support

According to traditional Chinese herbal principles, healthy circulation depends on the smooth movement of Qi and Blood throughout the body. Daily habits that promote circulation, mobility, and flexibility may help support upper body wellness, comfortable movement, and long-term vascular health.

For best results:

  • Stay physically active with regular walking, stretching, Tai Chi, Qigong, or gentle upper body exercises
  • Change positions frequently and avoid prolonged sitting or repetitive movements
  • Stretch the hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, and upper back throughout the day
  • Maintain good posture to encourage healthy circulation to the arms and hands
  • Stay well hydrated with warm or room-temperature water
  • Keep the hands and arms warm during cold weather
  • Prioritize adequate sleep and allow time for daily rest and recovery
  • Practice stress management through deep breathing, meditation, or relaxation exercises

To support healthy circulation, it is recommended to limit:

  • Highly processed foods
  • Excess sugar and sugary beverages
  • Deep-fried, greasy, or heavily processed foods
  • Excess alcohol consumption
  • Smoking and tobacco products
  • Excessive cold foods and iced beverages
  • Long periods of inactivity and repetitive strain

Foods traditionally considered supportive for healthy circulation include warm soups, ginger, garlic, leafy vegetables, berries, walnuts, black sesame, whole grains, and other nourishing foods that support Qi, Blood, and overall vitality.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, healthy digestion and circulation work together because the Spleen transforms food into Qi and Blood, while the Liver helps maintain their smooth movement throughout the body. Supporting these systems may help maintain healthy circulation, upper body comfort, and overall wellness.

Consistent movement, balanced nutrition, proper hydration, stress management, and healthy lifestyle habits are important foundations for supporting circulation, comfortable movement, healthy veins, and long-term upper body wellness.

What makes Silkie Herbs Upper Body Circulation Support different?

Silkie Herbs formulas are rooted in five generations of traditional herbal practice. Each formula is based on classical Traditional Chinese Medicine principles and uses carefully selected medicinal herbs prepared as traditional honey-bound herbal pills. We do not use capsules, compressed tablets, artificial fillers, synthetic binders, or unnecessary additives. Every batch is manufactured in the United States and undergoes rigorous quality testing to support consistency, purity, and authenticity.

Why does Traditional Chinese Medicine focus on Blood circulation for enlarged veins and tennis elbow?

Traditional Chinese Medicine teaches that free-flowing Blood and Qi are essential for maintaining healthy tissues and comfortable movement. When circulation becomes sluggish, Blood Stasis may develop, leading to visible hand veins, enlarged arm veins, tennis elbow, headaches, stiffness, and localized discomfort. Supporting healthy circulation has been a central principle of TCM for centuries.

Can repetitive upper body movement affect circulation?

Yes. Repetitive activities involving the hands, wrists, elbows, and arms may contribute to localized Qi stagnation and Blood Stasis according to Traditional Chinese Medicine. Supporting healthy circulation and tissue nourishment may help maintain upper body flexibility, mobility, and overall wellness.

Can Upper Body Circulation Support be taken daily?

Many individuals choose to take Upper Body Circulation Support daily as part of their circulation wellness routine. Consistent use is often preferred when supporting healthy Blood circulation, upper body comfort, vascular wellness, tennis elbow recovery, and overall balance according to Traditional Chinese Medicine principles.

What foods help support healthy circulation?

Many practitioners recommend a balanced diet that includes cooked vegetables, quality protein, whole grains, warming foods, adequate hydration, and regular meals. Traditional Chinese Medicine often emphasizes warm, freshly prepared foods that support digestion, healthy Blood production, Qi movement, and overall circulation.

Why are Silkie Herbs formulas made as honey-bound pills?

Silkie Herbs uses traditional honey-bound herbal pills rather than capsules or compressed tablets. Pure honey acts as a natural binding agent and has traditionally been used in Chinese herbal medicine to harmonize formulas and support digestion. This method allows us to avoid many of the synthetic fillers, binders, lubricants, and flow agents commonly found in modern supplements.

Are Silkie Herbs formulas third-party tested?

Yes. Silkie Herbs performs testing throughout the production process, from raw herb verification to finished product testing. This includes screening for identity, purity, heavy metals, pesticides, and microbial contaminants to help ensure quality and consistency.

Where are Silkie Herbs products made?

Silkie Herbs formulas are manufactured and packaged in the United States. Each formula is produced under strict quality standards while following traditional Chinese herbal principles and preparation methods.

What makes traditional Chinese herbal formulas different from single-herb supplements?

Traditional Chinese herbal formulas are carefully balanced combinations of herbs designed to work together according to classical TCM principles. Rather than relying on a single ingredient, each herb serves a specific role within the formula to promote healthy Blood circulation, Qi harmony, vascular wellness, upper body mobility, and overall balance.

Why does Silkie Herbs use traditional herbal preparation methods?

Many herbs are traditionally processed using methods known as Pao Zhi (炮製), which may include roasting, steaming, honey-frying, wine-frying, fermenting, or aging. These preparation methods have been used for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine to refine the properties of herbs and support their traditional functions.

Honey can support the lungs, intestine, spleen, and stomach; It works as a natural preservative with antibacterial and healing properties. Unlike other herbal supplement companies that use starch, magnesium, and other chemical substances as binders for their supplements, we only use 100% honey. We also avoid using vegetable capsules because they require chemical components to form the capsule shape.

Peak Harvest Herbs

The herbs in our herbal pill blends are harvested at the height of their potency and they are substantially more expensive than less potent herbs that were harvested in the pre-or post-season, but in our view, there is no substitute for premium quality.
