What Is Pet Formula for Light Yellow Stools?

Pet Formula for Light Yellow Stools is a traditional Chinese herbal formula designed to support healthy digestion, firm loose stools, maintain normal stool color and consistency, promote intestinal health, and support overall gastrointestinal wellness in both dogs and cats.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), healthy stools reflect the proper function of the Spleen, Stomach, Liver, and Kidneys. These organ systems work together to transform food into Qi (vital energy), Blood, and nutrients while regulating digestion, fluid metabolism, and healthy bowel function. When digestive balance becomes disrupted, pets may develop light yellow stools, loose or poorly formed stools, sour or fishy-smelling stools, occasional gas, increased defecation frequency, undigested food in the stool, mild nausea or vomiting, reduced appetite, or mild lethargy after meals.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, these digestive patterns are commonly associated with Spleen Qi deficiency, Dampness accumulation, digestive stagnation, and weakened digestive transformation. When the digestive system cannot efficiently absorb nutrients and eliminate excess dampness, stool quality may change, digestion becomes less efficient, and pets may have difficulty obtaining proper nourishment from their food.

Pet Formula for Light Yellow Stools is based on classical Chinese herbal principles and contains carefully selected herbs traditionally used to strengthen the Spleen and Stomach, support Liver and Kidney function, promote healthy digestion, improve nutrient absorption, eliminate excess dampness, support normal intestinal function, and encourage firm, well-formed stools. This formula is commonly chosen by pet owners seeking natural digestive support for dogs and cats experiencing light yellow stools, sour-smelling stools, loose stools, occasional digestive upset, excess gas, and long-term gastrointestinal wellness.*

Benefits of Pet Digestive Support for Light Yellow Stools, Sour Odor, Loose Stool & Sensitive Stomach

Support Healthy Digestion and Stool Quality*

Pet Digestive Support is traditionally used to support healthy digestion, promote firmer, well-formed stools, and help maintain normal bowel function. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), healthy stool consistency reflects the proper function of the Spleen, Stomach, and digestive system.

Strengthen Spleen Qi for Healthy Digestion*

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Spleen is responsible for transforming food into usable nutrients and transporting fluids throughout the body. When Spleen Qi becomes weak, digestion may become sluggish, leading to loose stools, poor nutrient absorption, and digestive discomfort. This formula is traditionally used to strengthen Spleen Qi and support optimal digestive function.

Help Reduce Dampness in the Digestive System*

Excess Dampness is a common TCM pattern associated with light yellow, loose, mushy stools, digestive sluggishness, and foul-smelling bowel movements. This formula is traditionally used to help reduce Dampness, promote fluid balance, and support a healthier digestive environment.

Promote Firmer, Better-Formed Stools*

Healthy stool consistency reflects balanced digestive function. This formula is traditionally used to support firmer, more well-formed stools while helping maintain comfortable and regular bowel movements.

Support Sensitive Stomachs*

Pets with sensitive stomachs may experience occasional digestive upset after dietary changes, rich foods, stress, or environmental changes. This formula is traditionally used to support gentle digestion, soothe the digestive tract, and maintain stomach comfort.

Encourage Healthy Nutrient Absorption*

Proper digestion allows the body to efficiently absorb nutrients needed for energy, growth, and overall wellness. By supporting healthy digestive function, this formula helps maintain optimal nutrient absorption and long-term vitality.

Promote Healthy Elimination*

Traditional Chinese Medicine recognizes healthy elimination as an essential part of maintaining internal balance. This formula is traditionally used to support the body's natural digestive and elimination processes while helping maintain healthy bowel regularity.

Support Healthy Energy and Vitality*

When digestion functions efficiently, pets are better able to convert food into usable energy. Supporting the Spleen and digestive system may help maintain healthy energy levels, vitality, and daily activity.

Help Maintain Overall Gastrointestinal Wellness*

This traditional herbal formula is designed to support the Stomach, Spleen, digestive tract, and normal gastrointestinal function. Maintaining digestive balance helps promote overall health and long-term digestive wellness.

Support Digestive Balance During Dietary or Environmental Changes*

Changes in diet, travel, treats, stress, or environmental factors may temporarily affect digestion. This formula is traditionally used to support digestive resilience and help maintain healthy stool quality during these transitions.

Individual results may vary. Improvement occurs gradually as internal digestive balance is restored.

Common Signs Your Pet May Need Digestive Support

This formula is most appropriate for pets showing traditional patterns associated with Spleen Qi Deficiency, Dampness accumulation, weakened digestion, and sensitive stomachs according to Traditional Chinese Medicine. Every pet is unique, and symptoms may vary.

Light Yellow, Loose, or Mushy Stools

Stools may appear light yellow, soft, pudding-like, poorly formed, or leave residue when picked up. This pattern is traditionally associated with weakened Spleen function and excess Dampness affecting digestion.

Sour or Fishy Stool Odor

Stools may have an unusually strong sour or fishy odor, suggesting incomplete digestion or Damp accumulation according to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Frequent Loose Bowel Movements

Some pets may pass stool more frequently than usual or have repeated loose bowel movements throughout the day, reflecting weakened digestive transformation and transportation.

Sensitive Stomach After Eating

Digestive discomfort may occur after meals, especially following dietary changes, treats, rich foods, or overeating. Pets may appear uncomfortable or reluctant to eat normally.

Occasional Gas or Bloating

Excess gas, abdominal fullness, bloating, or audible stomach gurgling may accompany weakened digestive function and food stagnation.

Mild Nausea or Occasional Vomiting

Some pets may occasionally experience mild nausea, lip licking, swallowing, grass eating, or vomiting associated with digestive imbalance.

Poor Appetite or Picky Eating

Reduced interest in food, inconsistent appetite, or eating smaller amounts than usual may reflect weakened Spleen and Stomach function.

Fatigue After Meals

Rather than becoming energized after eating, some pets may appear tired, sluggish, or less interested in activity following meals due to inefficient digestion.

Low Energy and Reduced Activity

Pets may seem less playful, less active, or prefer resting more often as weakened digestion affects nutrient utilization and overall vitality.

Weight Gain with Poor Digestion

Despite eating normally, some pets may gradually gain weight while continuing to have soft stools, reflecting impaired fluid metabolism and Damp accumulation according to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Heavy Body Sensation

Pets may appear slower, heavier, or less willing to move, particularly when Dampness affects normal circulation of Qi and fluids.

Digestive Upset Following Dietary Changes

Switching foods, eating unfamiliar treats, or dietary indiscretion may temporarily disrupt digestive balance and contribute to loose stools or stomach sensitivity.

Recurring Digestive Sensitivity

Digestive symptoms may improve temporarily but tend to return repeatedly, particularly after stress, dietary indiscretion, or environmental changes. Traditional Chinese Medicine often associates recurring digestive patterns with underlying Spleen Qi Deficiency rather than isolated digestive episodes.

Long-Term Digestive Weakness

Pets experiencing chronic loose stools, sensitive digestion, or recurring gastrointestinal imbalance may benefit from additional herbal support designed to strengthen digestive function, improve internal balance, and promote long-term gastrointestinal wellness over time.

Diet and Prevention for Light Yellow Stools, Sour Odor, Loose Stool & Sensitive Stomach

Supporting Healthy Digestion According to Traditional Chinese Medicine

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, healthy digestion depends on strong Spleen Qi and healthy Stomach function. When Spleen Qi becomes weak, excess Dampness may accumulate within the digestive tract, leading to light yellow loose stools, sour-smelling stools, occasional gas, poor nutrient absorption, and digestive sensitivity. Proper nutrition, consistent feeding schedules, and warm, easily digested foods help strengthen digestive function, reduce Dampness, and promote long-term gastrointestinal wellness.

For Best Results

  • Feed meals at consistent times each day to support healthy digestion and nutrient absorption.
  • Prioritize warm, freshly cooked meals over raw, refrigerated, or frozen foods whenever possible.
  • Introduce new foods gradually and avoid sudden dietary changes.
  • Feed smaller, more frequent meals if your pet has a sensitive stomach.
  • Provide clean, fresh water at all times to maintain proper hydration.
  • Bone broth may be added to meals to encourage hydration and support digestive health.
  • Avoid feeding immediately before vigorous exercise.
  • Monitor stool consistency, stool color, appetite, and digestive comfort as your pet's digestion improves.

Dietary Recommendations

Cooked Vegetables (20%)

Cooked pumpkin and sweet potato provide gentle fiber that helps support healthy stool consistency, nourishes the digestive system, and strengthens Spleen function according to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

White rice is traditionally recommended as a gentle, easily digested carbohydrate that supports healthy digestion while helping promote firmer, more well-formed stools.

Boiled Chicken Breast or Lean Pork (70%)

Neutral, lean proteins are traditionally used to nourish Qi, support digestive recovery, and provide highly digestible nutrition for pets with sensitive stomachs.

A Proven, Research-Backed Pet Digestive Support Formula

Modern research on traditional herbs commonly used in digestive support formulas, particularly Codonopsis Root (Dang Shen), Astragalus Root (Huang Qi), Poria (Fu Ling), Dried Tangerine Peel (Chen Pi), Malted Barley (Mai Ya), and Magnolia Bark (Hou Po), has explored their effects on gastrointestinal health, digestive function, immune regulation, intestinal barrier support, and inflammatory pathway modulation. These herbs have been widely studied for their bioactive compounds and their traditional roles in supporting healthy digestion, nutrient absorption, balanced intestinal function, and overall gastrointestinal wellness.

Research published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology, Frontiers in Pharmacology, Frontiers in Nutrition, and the International Journal of Molecular Sciences has investigated the biological activities of these traditional herbs, including astragalosides from Astragalus Root, polysaccharides from Codonopsis and Poria, hesperidin and flavonoids from Dried Tangerine Peel, digestive enzymes produced during the malting of Barley, and magnolol and honokiol from Magnolia Bark. These studies have explored their antioxidant, digestive-supporting, gut microbiota-modulating, immune-supporting, and gastrointestinal wellness properties.

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, healthy digestion depends on the proper balance of the Spleen and Stomach, along with the smooth movement of Qi and the body's ability to transform Dampness. When these systems remain balanced, digestion is traditionally believed to promote healthy stool consistency, comfortable digestion, efficient nutrient absorption, and overall gastrointestinal wellness.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Pet Digestive Support for Light Yellow Stools, Sour Odor, Loose Stool & Sensitive Stomach used for?

Pet Digestive Support for Light Yellow Stools, Sour Odor, Loose Stool & Sensitive Stomach is traditionally used in Chinese herbal practice to support healthy digestion, strengthen the Spleen and Stomach, promote normal stool consistency, reduce occasional gas and bloating, and maintain a healthy intestinal environment. It is commonly used for dogs and cats experiencing light yellow loose stools, sour-smelling stool, occasional digestive upset, sensitive stomachs, and poor nutrient absorption.

How does Traditional Chinese Medicine view light yellow loose stools?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), light yellow loose stools with a sour odor are commonly associated with Spleen Qi Deficiency combined with Dampness affecting the digestive system. When the Spleen is unable to properly transform food and fluids, excess Dampness may accumulate, leading to soft stools, increased stool frequency, foul odor, gas, bloating, and digestive weakness. Traditional herbal formulas are commonly used to strengthen digestion while helping eliminate excess Dampness.

What is Spleen Qi Deficiency in pets?

Spleen Qi Deficiency is a Traditional Chinese Medicine pattern in which the digestive system lacks sufficient energy to properly digest food and absorb nutrients. Common signs may include loose stools, light yellow stools, sour-smelling stool, undigested food in the stool, decreased appetite, occasional vomiting, gas, bloating, fatigue after eating, weight gain despite poor digestion, and a sensitive stomach.

Who may benefit from Pet Digestive Support?

Dogs and cats experiencing light yellow loose stools, pudding-like stool, sour or fishy odor, occasional diarrhea, digestive sensitivity, gas, bloating, increased stool frequency, poor digestion, or mild nausea may benefit from Pet Digestive Support as part of their daily digestive wellness routine.

Can Pet Digestive Support help support occasional loose stools?

Yes. Pet Digestive Support is traditionally used to help maintain healthy stool consistency by supporting proper digestive function, strengthening the Spleen and Stomach, promoting nutrient absorption, and helping reduce excess Dampness according to Traditional Chinese Medicine principles.

Can Pet Digestive Support be used for sensitive stomachs?

Yes. Many pet owners choose Pet Digestive Support for dogs and cats with sensitive stomachs, occasional digestive upset, food sensitivities, gas, bloating, or inconsistent stools. Traditional Chinese Medicine focuses on restoring digestive balance rather than simply addressing individual symptoms.

Why is the Spleen important for digestion in Traditional Chinese Medicine?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Spleen is responsible for transforming food into Qi, Blood, and nourishment while transporting fluids throughout the body. When Spleen function is weakened, digestion becomes inefficient, allowing Dampness to accumulate and resulting in loose stools, poor appetite, fatigue, gas, bloating, and digestive discomfort.

What is Dampness in Traditional Chinese Medicine?

Dampness is considered an accumulation of excess moisture within the body caused by weak digestive function or improper diet. In pets, Dampness may contribute to loose stools, sticky or pudding-like stool, foul or sour odor, excessive gas, abdominal gurgling, sluggish digestion, weight gain, and decreased energy.

Can poor digestion affect nutrient absorption?

Yes. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, weakened Spleen function may reduce the body's ability to properly digest food and absorb nutrients. Supporting digestive health may help pets better utilize the nutrients from their food while promoting healthy energy levels and overall vitality.

What digestive problems are commonly associated with Spleen Qi Deficiency?

Spleen Qi Deficiency is commonly associated with light yellow loose stools, sour-smelling stool, occasional diarrhea, gas, bloating, sensitive stomach, poor appetite, mild nausea, vomiting after eating, increased stool frequency, abdominal gurgling, sluggish digestion, and occasional weight gain.

How long should my pet take Pet Digestive Support?

Every pet is different. Recovery depends on age, diet, digestive health, lifestyle, and the severity of digestive imbalance. Some pets experience occasional digestive upset, while others benefit from long-term digestive support. Long-term use is best discussed with a qualified veterinary herbal practitioner.

Can Pet Digestive Support be used with other Silkie Herbs pet formulas?

Many Silkie Herbs pet formulas are designed to complement one another. Pet Digestive Support is often combined with Pet Immune Support, Pet Parasite Cleanse, Pet Allergy Support, Pet Liver Support, Pet Kidney Support, and other formulas depending on the individual pet's wellness goals.

When is the best time to give Pet Digestive Support?

Pet Digestive Support may be given according to the directions on the label or your practitioner's recommendation. Many pet owners choose to give it consistently during periods of digestive imbalance or as part of a long-term digestive wellness routine.

What herbs are included in Pet Digestive Support?

Pet Digestive Support contains a carefully selected blend of Codonopsis (Dang Shen), Astragalus (Huang Qi), Dried Tangerine Peel (Chen Pi), Poria (Fu Ling), Malted Barley (Mai Ya), and Magnolia Bark (Hou Po). These herbs have traditionally been used in Chinese herbal practice to strengthen the Spleen and Stomach, support healthy digestion, promote nutrient absorption, reduce Dampness, relieve occasional gas and bloating, and help maintain healthy stool consistency. The honey pill formula uses pure honey as the traditional binding agent, while the powder formula contains the same herbal blend without honey.

Can Pet Digestive Support be used year-round?

Many pet owners choose to use Pet Digestive Support year-round for pets with chronic digestive sensitivity, while others use it during periods of occasional digestive upset, dietary transitions, or digestive stress.

What makes Silkie Herbs Pet Digestive Support different?

Silkie Herbs formulas are rooted in five generations of traditional herbal practice. Each formula is based on classical Traditional Chinese Medicine principles and uses carefully selected medicinal herbs. Our traditional honey-bound herbal pills are prepared using pure honey as the natural binding agent, while our herbal powder provides the same carefully balanced formula in an easy-to-mix form for pets that prefer powder. We do not use artificial fillers, synthetic binders, preservatives, unnecessary additives, or low-quality ingredients. Every batch is manufactured in the United States and undergoes rigorous quality testing to support consistency, purity, and authenticity.

Why does Traditional Chinese Medicine focus on the Spleen and Stomach for digestive health?

Traditional Chinese Medicine teaches that the Spleen and Stomach form the foundation of digestion. Together they transform food into Qi, Blood, and nourishment while regulating fluids throughout the body. When these systems function properly, digestion remains balanced and stools are typically firm, well-formed, and easy to pass.

Can digestive imbalance affect a pet's energy level?

Yes. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, poor digestion may reduce the body's ability to produce Qi from food. Pets with weakened digestive function may occasionally experience fatigue after meals, decreased activity, reduced vitality, or poor overall condition.

Can Pet Digestive Support be given daily?

Many pet owners choose to give Pet Digestive Support daily during periods of digestive imbalance or as part of a long-term digestive wellness routine. Consistent use is often preferred when supporting healthy digestion, nutrient absorption, stool quality, and overall gastrointestinal balance according to Traditional Chinese Medicine principles.

What foods help support healthy digestion in pets?

Many practitioners recommend feeding a consistent, high-quality diet appropriate for the individual pet while avoiding frequent diet changes, excessive treats, spoiled food, overly greasy foods, and foods known to trigger digestive sensitivity. Maintaining regular feeding times and providing adequate hydration may also support healthy digestion.

Why are Silkie Herbs formulas available as both honey-bound pills and powder?

Silkie Herbs offers both traditional honey-bound herbal pills and herbal powder to accommodate different pets and feeding preferences. The honey pill formula uses pure honey as a traditional binding agent, while the powder provides the same carefully balanced herbal formula that can be easily mixed with food for pets that prefer powdered herbs.

Are Silkie Herbs pet formulas third-party tested?

Yes. Silkie Herbs performs testing throughout the production process, from raw herb verification to finished product testing. This includes screening for identity, purity, heavy metals, pesticides, and microbial contaminants to help ensure quality, safety, and consistency.

Where are Silkie Herbs pet products made?

Silkie Herbs pet formulas are manufactured and packaged in the United States. Each formula is produced under strict quality standards while following traditional Chinese herbal principles and preparation methods.

What makes traditional Chinese herbal formulas different from single-herb supplements?

Traditional Chinese herbal formulas are carefully balanced combinations of herbs designed to work together according to classical TCM principles. Rather than relying on a single herb, each ingredient serves a specific role within the formula to strengthen digestion, restore balance, reduce Dampness, and support long-term gastrointestinal health.

Why does Silkie Herbs use traditional herbal preparation methods?

Many herbs are traditionally processed using methods known as Pao Zhi (炮製), which may include roasting, steaming, honey-frying, wine-frying, fermenting, or aging. These preparation methods have been used for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine to refine the properties of herbs and support their traditional digestive functions for both people and animals.

100% Natural

Our herbal supplements are made with natural honey as the binder. Honey can support the lungs, intestine, spleen, and stomach; It works as a natural preservative with antibacterial and healing properties. Unlike other herbal supplement companies that use starch, magnesium, and other chemical substances as binders for their supplements, we only use 100% honey. We also avoid using vegetable capsules because they require chemical components to form the capsule shape.

Peak Harvest Herbs

The herbs in our herbal pill blends are harvested at the height of their potency and they are substantially more expensive than less potent herbs that were harvested in the pre-or post-season, but in our view, there is no substitute for premium quality.

Ann's Story

Here's my story.

If you feel skeptical or unsure of Chinese herbal remedies, I could hardly blame you. I wasn't a believer either until my daughter grew very sick and my father (the 4th generation herbalist) helped her get better with herbs.

I was born into a family of herbalists. My father, my grandfather, my great-grandfather, great-great grandfather were all herbalists. I represent the 5th generation in this long lineage dating back to Imperial China.

When I was three or four years old, I started to learn herbal songs and how to identify herbs. As I got older, I was taught how to process the herbs while working in my dad’s clinic in Vietnam. After we immigrated to the United States, my dad asked me if I wanted to pursue a career in TCM as an herbalist or acupuncturist. I said, “No, just leave me alone, Dad. I will find something I enjoy doing for work.” So, he left me alone to find my own way.

I wanted nothing to do with herbal medicine until I gave birth to my second daughter, Catherine, who was born with severe gastric reflux. When Catherine was 10 days old, I had to take her to the ER for IV injections into her little hand because she couldn’t keep milk down. Besides vomiting, she also was having diarrhea. Catherine was losing nutrition from both ends, so her tiny body was shrinking. At that time my dad warned me, “She needs to be treated with herbal medicine, otherwise she will have seizures later on.” I didn’t fully understand what my dad was talking about, so I ignored him.

My daughter got so ill that she could only take half an ounce of milk per hour. Before feeding her, I would use a syringe and shoot Zantac into her mouth to lessen the vomiting. As time passed, she needed milk more often, and consequently more Zantac. By the time Catherine was 8 months old, she needed to be fed and medicated 11 times a day.

I could hardly sleep, eat, shower or rest. Even at night, I had to drape my daughter over my shoulder for her to sleep. If I put Catherine down, she would vomit. I barely had time to squeeze in a 5-minute shower once or twice a week for myself. I was exhausted, but what could I do? I had to care for my daughter and do my best to survive each day with the hope that she would get better or at the very least her condition would not worsen.

Catherine had to wear a turtleneck with two sweaters along with a baby cap and scarf to be outside during the heat of summer, even when temperatures were 100 plus degrees. If I didn’t cover her up, she would have a runny nose, cough, and non stop vomiting. How will she be able to go to school or anywhere with air conditioning?

One day we went to a Vietnamese pho restaurant. After I set Catherine down into the high-chair, I turned around and adjusted my chair. Then I heard a woman’s shout, “Look at her!” I looked in the direction she pointed. It was Catherine…her eyes rolled up and her entire body stiff and shaking with fluid coming out of her mouth. Someone said, “Squeeze some lemon into her mouth.” I did it without hesitating and Catherine’s body relaxed.

We rushed her to the ER. For 3 days she was in the NICU where they monitored her brain. The doctors told me I was lucky because my daughter’s seizure didn’t last for more than 3 minutes which would have damaged her brain. After that I always carried a piece of lemon because I had no idea when my baby girl might have another seizure.

The seizures started to come weekly, so the doctor prescribed anti-seizure medication. Catherine wasn’t even 1 year of age, and already she was taking Zantac 11 times plus anti-seizure medicine 3 times a day. It was nearly impossible to administer the anti-seizure medicine because whenever I took out the syringe, she would cry and start vomiting.

I took Catherine to see a specialist at CHOC. I asked, “Doctor, have you ever seen any infant with this condition get well?” The doctor replied, “It depends. Some will grow out of it, but some don’t. If they don’t, then they will have to take medication for the rest of their life.”

“What do you mean by grow out of it?” The doctor explained that Catherine might get better by herself as she got older.

My mind was racing. “All this time the prescribed medication has not been treating her stomach?” The doctor said, “No, it only helps to guide the food down, so she won’t vomit it back up. That’s why you have to give it to her before the feeding.”

“Well, what if she doesn’t grow out of it?” In that case, Catherine will be dependent upon medication for the rest of her life. The doctor further informed me that she too was born with gastro reflux and is still taking medicine for the condition.

Her statement was like lightning in my brain. If the doctor can’t even treat herself for gastro reflux, how can she help my daughter? Seeing the futility of my path, I turned to my dad for help.

My dad advised me to stop all western drugs and to give her an herbal prescription 3 times a day. Administering medicine 3 times instead of 14 times a day to Catherine was a godsend to me. Even though it sounded too good to be true, I figured that I could still give Zantac to Catherine if she didn’t get better or continued to vomit.

After one month of herbs 3 times a day, Catherine vomited less and less. To test Catherine, I let her cry to see if she would vomit. She didn’t, so I knew she was getting better. After another month of herbal medicine, Catherine was able to wear less clothing without getting a runny nose, coughing, or vomiting. After 3 months of herbal formulas, she stopped having episodes of gastro reflux and seizure. Catherine will enjoy a normal, healthy life.

Because of Catherine’s dramatic recovery, I was sold on Chinese medicine and asked my dad to treat me. I fainted very easily, especially during the winter. After a few months of herbal formulas, I have never fainted again.

I started to have time to think and tried to understand why a piece of lemon helps to relax the muscles and stop a seizure. Lemon is a common citrus, yet it has magical powers that we don’t understand and underestimate. I wanted to learn more and find answers, so I decided to go to China which has a long history of herbal medicine. I went to TCM schools in China and Hong Kong and worked in the TCM hospitals to learn from the best herbal doctors in the world.

When I was there, I knew one day I would want to become an herbalist, but how can I get a steady supply of high-quality herbs. My dad and I backpacked across China and visited many farmlands. We interviewed farmers to grow herbs for us. Our products are used with the highest quality herbs that have been harvested at the height of their potency. They are substantially more expensive than less potent herbs that were harvested in the pre- or post-season.

After I came back to the United State, I worked with my dad and learned from his experiences and studied the formulas that our ancestors passed down. What I have been through helped me to understand the importance of health. Without health, don’t even talk about career, beauty, education, freedom, etc. I now have worked with many families who have suffered as I have. Their endearing appreciation drives me to work harder.

Our namesake "Silkie" is a Chinese breed of chicken that is well known for its calm and friendly temperament. They are gentle and caring and make wonderful mothers. A Silkie loves nothing more than brooding a cluster of eggs, whether they are hers or not, even if they are "duck eggs". We share the same outlook and care for our clients the same way we care for our own family.
