What Is Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools?

Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools is a traditional Chinese herbal formula designed to support healthy bowel movements, digestive health, intestinal moisture, colon function, and overall gastrointestinal wellness in dogs and cats experiencing hard, dry stools or constipation.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), healthy bowel movements depend on the proper balance of the Stomach, Spleen, Large Intestine, and Body Fluids (Jin Ye). These systems work together to digest food, transform nutrients, circulate fluids, and keep the intestines properly lubricated. When intestinal dryness, fluid deficiency, weakened digestive function, or Qi stagnation develops, pets may experience hard or dry stools, constipation, straining during bowel movements, pebble-like stools, reduced appetite, occasional vomiting, abdominal discomfort, or sluggish digestion.

Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools is based on the classical principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and contains carefully selected herbs traditionally used to moisturize the intestines, increase healthy body fluids, support Stomach and Spleen function, promote normal intestinal movement, and encourage comfortable, regular bowel movements. This formula is commonly chosen by pet owners seeking natural digestive support for constipation, hard stools, dry stools, straining, and long-term intestinal health in both dogs and cats.*

Suggested Combination for Long-Term Digestive Health

Once your pet's stools have returned to a healthy, comfortable consistency, transitioning to Pet Formula for Firm Well-Formed Stools may help maintain long-term digestive balance, healthy intestinal function, proper nutrient absorption, and regular bowel movements.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, healthy digestion depends on maintaining the proper balance of the Stomach, Spleen, and Large Intestine. While Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools is traditionally used to moisturize the intestines, increase body fluids, relieve occasional constipation, and support comfortable bowel movements, ongoing digestive wellness often benefits from strengthening the digestive system once normal stools have been restored.

Pet Formula for Firm Well-Formed Stools is traditionally used to support healthy digestive function, strengthen Spleen and Stomach Qi, promote efficient nutrient absorption, maintain healthy intestinal flora, and encourage consistent, well-formed stools. It helps support long-term gastrointestinal health while reducing the likelihood of recurring digestive imbalance.

Together, these formulas provide a balanced Traditional Chinese Medicine approach by supporting healthy intestinal moisture during periods of constipation, followed by strengthening digestive function to promote regular bowel movements, healthy stool quality, improved nutrient utilization, and long-term digestive wellness. This combination is commonly chosen by pet owners seeking comprehensive digestive support for dogs and cats with recurring constipation, hard or dry stools, straining during defecation, digestive weakness, and ongoing intestinal health.*

Benefits of Pet Formula for Hard or Dry Stools

Support Healthy Bowel Regularity*

Pet Formula for Hard or Dry Stools is traditionally used to support healthy bowel movements and promote normal stool consistency. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), healthy elimination depends on adequate body fluids, balanced Qi, and proper Large Intestine function.

Help Relieve Hard, Dry, Pebble-Like Stools*

This traditional herbal formula is used to support pets experiencing hard, dry, pebble-like stools that may be difficult to pass. It helps promote healthy moisture within the intestines and supports smoother, more comfortable bowel movements.

Support Healthy Intestinal Moisture*

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, dryness within the Large Intestine may result from insufficient Yin and body fluids. This formula is traditionally used to nourish Yin, support healthy hydration of the intestines, and maintain normal stool moisture.

Promote Healthy Large Intestine Function*

The Large Intestine plays an important role in absorbing fluids and eliminating waste. This formula is traditionally used to support healthy Large Intestine function, encourage proper elimination, and maintain digestive balance.

Encourage the Healthy Movement of Qi*

Smooth circulation of Qi helps support normal intestinal movement and healthy bowel function. This formula is traditionally used to promote the healthy movement of Qi, helping support regular elimination and digestive comfort.

Support Digestive Balance*

Healthy digestion depends on the coordinated function of the Stomach, Spleen, and Large Intestine. This formula is traditionally used to support digestive harmony, healthy nutrient processing, and comfortable elimination.

Help Maintain Healthy Body Fluids*

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, adequate body fluids help lubricate the intestines and support comfortable bowel movements. This formula is traditionally used to nourish Yin, replenish fluids, and help maintain healthy hydration throughout the digestive tract.

Promote Comfortable Elimination*

Pets experiencing dry stools may strain or become uncomfortable during bowel movements. This formula is traditionally used to support more comfortable elimination by promoting proper intestinal moisture and healthy digestive function.

Support Long-Term Digestive Wellness*

Traditional Chinese herbal formulas are often used as part of a long-term digestive wellness routine. This formula is traditionally used to support intestinal balance, healthy bowel function, and overall digestive health.

Support Recovery from Digestive Dryness*

Common Signs Your Pet May Need Support for Hard or Dry Stools

This formula is most appropriate for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) patterns associated with Large Intestine Dryness, Yin Deficiency, reduced body fluids, Qi stagnation, and digestive dryness. Different pets may experience different symptoms, such as:

Hard, Dry, Pebble-Like Stools

Small, dry, firm, or pebble-shaped stools that are difficult to pass. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this pattern is commonly associated with Large Intestine Dryness, insufficient body fluids, or Yin Deficiency.

Straining During Bowel Movements

Pets may spend an unusually long time attempting to defecate or repeatedly strain while passing stool. This may reflect reduced intestinal lubrication and sluggish movement of Qi.

Reduced Defecation Frequency

Some pets may pass stools less frequently than normal because dry stool remains in the Large Intestine longer before elimination.

Occasional Blood After Defecation

Passing very hard stools may occasionally cause minor tearing around the rectum, resulting in small amounts of blood after bowel movements.

Dry Nose or Dry Gums

Dryness affecting the digestive system may also be reflected by a dry nose, dry gums, or reduced body fluids according to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Reduced Appetite

Digestive stagnation and constipation may reduce interest in food. Pets may eat less than usual or become hesitant during mealtime.

Occasional Vomiting

Some pets experiencing prolonged constipation or digestive stagnation may occasionally vomit due to digestive discomfort or slowed gastrointestinal movement.

Signs of Abdominal Discomfort

Pets may appear uncomfortable, restless, or sensitive around the abdomen before or after attempting to pass stool.

Dryness Associated with Yin Deficiency

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, insufficient Yin and body fluids may contribute to intestinal dryness, making stools harder, drier, and more difficult to eliminate comfortably.

Sluggish Intestinal Movement

Healthy bowel function depends on the smooth movement of Qi throughout the digestive tract. Qi stagnation may contribute to slower intestinal movement and more difficult elimination.

Digestive Heat Affecting Stool Moisture

Excess internal Heat may dry body fluids within the digestive tract, leading to hard stools, increased straining, and reduced intestinal lubrication according to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Dehydration or Reduced Body Fluids

Pets with inadequate hydration or reduced body fluids may produce harder stools that require greater effort to eliminate.

Recurring Constipation Patterns

Some pets experience recurring episodes of hard or dry stools that temporarily improve but repeatedly return. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this often reflects an underlying imbalance rather than an isolated digestive event.

Aging Pets with Reduced Intestinal Moisture

As pets age, natural body fluids may gradually decline. Older pets may be more likely to experience dry stools, reduced bowel frequency, and increased straining.

Difficulty Maintaining Comfortable Elimination

Pets that regularly experience discomfort while passing stool may benefit from long-term support that promotes intestinal moisture, healthy Qi movement, and balanced digestive function.

Pets experiencing more complex, chronic, recurring, or long-standing patterns of hard or dry stools may benefit from combining this formula with additional digestive herbal support to address underlying imbalances and promote long-term intestinal health. Once stools have returned to a normal consistency, transitioning to Pet Formula for Firm Well-Formed Stools may help maintain healthy digestion and regular bowel function over time.

Diet and Prevention for Hard & Dry Stools

Supporting Healthy Digestion According to Traditional Chinese Medicine

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, healthy bowel movements depend on adequate Body Fluids, healthy Yin, smooth Qi movement, and proper Large Intestine function. When Yin and Body Fluids become depleted or the intestines become dry, stools may become hard, dry, difficult to pass, or appear as small pebble-like pellets. Proper hydration, moisture-rich foods, and consistent feeding habits help support healthy digestion, intestinal lubrication, and long-term bowel regularity.

For Best Results

  • Feed meals at consistent times each day to support healthy digestive function.
  • Prioritize freshly cooked, moisture-rich meals over dry, heavily processed foods whenever possible.
  • Provide clean, fresh water at all times to support healthy hydration and bowel regularity.
  • Bone broth or warm chicken broth may be added to meals to increase moisture and encourage eating.
  • Avoid feeding immediately before vigorous exercise.
  • Feed smaller, more frequent meals if your pet has a sensitive digestive system.
  • Encourage regular daily exercise to promote healthy intestinal movement.
  • Monitor stool consistency and gradually adjust diet as digestive health improves.

A Proven, Research-Backed Constipation & Digestive Support Formula

Modern research on traditional herbs commonly used in digestive support formulas, particularly Prepared Rehmannia Root (Shu Di Huang), Angelica Root (Dang Gui), Ophiopogon Tuber (Mai Men Dong), Goji Berries (Gou Qi Zi), Codonopsis Root (Dang Shen), and Black Sesame Seeds (Hei Zhi Ma), has explored their effects on intestinal health, antioxidant activity, gastrointestinal barrier function, immune regulation, and healthy digestive motility. These herbs have been widely studied for their bioactive compounds and their traditional roles in supporting healthy bowel function, nourishing body fluids, and promoting comfortable, regular elimination.

Research published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology, Frontiers in Pharmacology, and the International Journal of Molecular Sciences has investigated the pharmacological activities of these traditional herbs, including the polysaccharides found in Codonopsis Root and Prepared Rehmannia, the phenylethanoid glycosides of Ophiopogon Tuber, the naturally occurring compounds in Angelica Root that support healthy circulation and gastrointestinal function, and the antioxidant-rich constituents of Goji Berries and Black Sesame Seeds. These studies have explored their roles in maintaining digestive health, supporting intestinal function, protecting gastrointestinal tissues, and promoting overall physiological balance.

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, healthy bowel movements depend on the proper balance of the Spleen, Stomach, Large Intestine, and Kidney systems, along with adequate nourishment of Blood and Yin to moisten the intestines. When these systems remain balanced and body fluids are sufficient, the intestines are traditionally believed to maintain healthy lubrication, comfortable bowel movements, and overall digestive wellness.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools used for?

Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools is traditionally used in Chinese herbal practice to support healthy bowel movements, relieve occasional constipation, soften hard or dry stools, reduce straining during defecation, and promote healthy digestive function in dogs and cats. It is commonly chosen for pets experiencing pebble-like stools, dry feces, infrequent bowel movements, or difficulty passing stool.

How does Traditional Chinese Medicine view constipation in pets?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), constipation is often associated with Intestinal Dryness, Blood Deficiency, Yin Deficiency, Heat, or Qi Deficiency affecting the Large Intestine, Spleen, and Stomach. When the intestines lack moisture or Qi is too weak to move stool properly, bowel movements may become difficult, dry, or infrequent. Traditional herbal formulas are commonly used to nourish fluids, moisten the intestines, and support healthy digestive movement.

What causes hard and dry stools in Traditional Chinese Medicine?

According to TCM, hard or dry stools may develop when the body's fluids become depleted or when Heat dries the intestines. Blood Deficiency, Yin Deficiency, aging, dehydration, poor digestion, chronic illness, or weakened Spleen Qi may all contribute to dry, difficult-to-pass stools.

Which pets may benefit from Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools?

Dogs and cats experiencing occasional constipation, hard stools, pebble-like stools, dry bowel movements, straining during defecation, infrequent bowel movements, or digestive sluggishness may benefit from Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools as part of their digestive wellness routine.

Can this formula help pets that strain during bowel movements?

Yes. Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools is traditionally used to support pets that strain while passing stool due to dryness or insufficient intestinal moisture. The formula works by supporting healthy digestive function while helping maintain softer, easier-to-pass stools.

Can this formula help pets with pebble-like stools?

Many pet owners choose this formula when their dog or cat produces small, hard, pebble-like stools. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this pattern often reflects Intestinal Dryness, Blood Deficiency, or depleted Yin fluids affecting the Large Intestine.

Can senior dogs and cats use this formula?

Yes. Senior pets commonly experience slower digestion, reduced body fluids, weakened Qi, and age-related intestinal dryness. Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools is frequently selected to support healthy bowel regularity and digestive comfort in aging dogs and cats.

Why is intestinal moisture important for healthy bowel movements?

Healthy intestinal moisture helps soften stool and supports its smooth passage through the digestive tract. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, nourishing Yin, Blood, and body fluids helps maintain proper lubrication of the intestines and supports regular bowel movements.

Can dehydration contribute to constipation?

Yes. In both Traditional Chinese Medicine and general digestive wellness, inadequate hydration may contribute to harder stools and increased difficulty during bowel movements. Supporting healthy fluid balance is considered an important part of maintaining normal digestive function.

How long should my pet take Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools?

Every pet is different. Recovery depends on the underlying digestive imbalance, hydration, diet, age, activity level, and overall health. Some pets improve within a short period, while others benefit from longer-term digestive support. Long-term use should be based on your veterinarian or qualified animal herbal practitioner's recommendation.

Can Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools be taken with other Silkie Herbs pet formulas?

Yes. Many Silkie Herbs pet formulas are designed to complement one another. Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools is often combined with Pet Spleen Support, Pet Digestive Support, Pet Kidney Support, Pet Immune Support, and other formulas depending on your pet's individual wellness needs.

When is the best time to give Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools?

Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools may be given according to the feeding directions or your practitioner's recommendation. Consistent daily use is often preferred while supporting healthy bowel function and digestive balance.

What herbs are included in Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools?

Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools contains a carefully selected blend of Black Sesame Seeds, Prepared Rehmannia Root, Goji Berries, Angelica Root, Codonopsis Root, and Ophiopogon Tuber. These herbs have traditionally been used in Chinese herbal practice to nourish Yin and Blood, moisten the intestines, support healthy digestion, replenish body fluids, strengthen Spleen Qi, and promote comfortable bowel movements. Honey pill formulas also contain pure honey as the traditional binding agent, while the powder formula contains only the herbal blend with no honey.

Can Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools be used year-round?

Many pets use this formula during periods of occasional constipation or digestive dryness. Others with chronic digestive imbalances or age-related intestinal dryness may benefit from longer-term digestive support under professional guidance.

What makes Silkie Herbs Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools different?

Silkie Herbs pet formulas are rooted in five generations of traditional herbal practice. Each formula is based on classical Traditional Chinese Medicine principles and uses carefully selected medicinal herbs. Our honey-bound herbal pills are prepared using pure honey as the traditional binding agent, while our herbal powders contain only the blended herbs without fillers. We never use artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, synthetic binders, or unnecessary additives. Every batch is manufactured in the United States and undergoes rigorous quality testing for purity and consistency.

Why does Traditional Chinese Medicine focus on the Spleen and Large Intestine for constipation?

Traditional Chinese Medicine teaches that the Spleen transforms food into Qi and fluids while the Large Intestine governs the formation and elimination of stool. When these systems become weak, dry, or imbalanced, constipation, hard stools, and straining may develop. Supporting both organs helps promote long-term digestive balance.

Can digestive weakness lead to constipation?

Yes. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, weakened Spleen Qi may reduce the body's ability to properly transform food and fluids, leading to dryness, sluggish intestinal movement, and constipation over time.

Can Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools be taken daily?

Many pets take Pet Formula for Hard & Dry Stools daily while supporting healthy bowel regularity, digestive comfort, and intestinal moisture. Consistent use is often preferred until normal bowel function has been restored.

What foods help support healthy bowel movements in dogs and cats?

Many veterinarians and animal nutrition professionals recommend adequate hydration, balanced nutrition, moisture-rich foods when appropriate, and sufficient dietary fiber based on the individual pet's needs. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, foods that nourish Yin, Blood, and body fluids while supporting healthy Spleen function are traditionally encouraged for pets with dry stools.

Should I switch formulas after my pet's stools return to normal?

Yes. Once bowel movements become soft, comfortable, and well-formed, many pet owners transition to Pet Formula for Firm Well-Formed Stools to help maintain healthy digestive balance, support normal stool quality, and promote long-term intestinal wellness.

Why are Silkie Herbs pet formulas available as both honey pills and herbal powder?

Silkie Herbs offers traditional honey-bound herbal pills for pets that readily accept pills and herbal powder for pets that prefer their herbs mixed directly into food. Both preparations use the same carefully balanced herbal formula while allowing pet owners to choose the form that best fits their pet's preferences.

Are Silkie Herbs pet formulas third-party tested?

Yes. Silkie Herbs performs testing throughout the production process, from raw herb verification to finished product testing. This includes screening for identity, purity, heavy metals, pesticides, and microbial contaminants to help ensure quality, safety, and consistency.

Where are Silkie Herbs pet formulas made?

Silkie Herbs pet formulas are manufactured and packaged in the United States. Each formula is produced under strict quality standards while following traditional Chinese herbal principles and preparation methods.

What makes traditional Chinese herbal formulas different from single-herb supplements?

Traditional Chinese herbal formulas combine multiple herbs that work together according to classical TCM principles. Rather than relying on a single ingredient, each herb serves a specific purpose to nourish, harmonize, support digestion, and promote overall balance throughout the body.

Why does Silkie Herbs use traditional herbal preparation methods?

Many herbs are traditionally processed using methods known as Pao Zhi (炮製), including steaming, roasting, honey-processing, wine-processing, and other classical preparation techniques. These methods have been used for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine to refine herbal properties, improve digestibility, and support their traditional therapeutic functions.

herbs harvested at the height of potency

100% Natural

Our herbal supplements are made with natural honey as the binder. Honey can support the lungs, intestine, spleen, and stomach; It works as a natural preservative with antibacterial and healing properties. Unlike other herbal supplement companies that use starch, magnesium, and other chemical substances as binders for their supplements, we only use 100% honey. We also avoid using vegetable capsules because they require chemical components to form the capsule shape.

Peak Harvest Herbs

The herbs in our herbal pill blends are harvested at the height of their potency and they are substantially more expensive than less potent herbs that were harvested in the pre-or post-season, but in our view, there is no substitute for premium quality.

Ann's Story

Here's my story.

If you feel skeptical or unsure of Chinese herbal remedies, I could hardly blame you. I wasn't a believer either until my daughter grew very sick and my father (the 4th generation herbalist) helped her get better with herbs.

I was born into a family of herbalists. My father, my grandfather, my great-grandfather, great-great grandfather were all herbalists. I represent the 5th generation in this long lineage dating back to Imperial China.

When I was three or four years old, I started to learn herbal songs and how to identify herbs. As I got older, I was taught how to process the herbs while working in my dad’s clinic in Vietnam. After we immigrated to the United States, my dad asked me if I wanted to pursue a career in TCM as an herbalist or acupuncturist. I said, “No, just leave me alone, Dad. I will find something I enjoy doing for work.” So, he left me alone to find my own way.

I wanted nothing to do with herbal medicine until I gave birth to my second daughter, Catherine, who was born with severe gastric reflux. When Catherine was 10 days old, I had to take her to the ER for IV injections into her little hand because she couldn’t keep milk down. Besides vomiting, she also was having diarrhea. Catherine was losing nutrition from both ends, so her tiny body was shrinking. At that time my dad warned me, “She needs to be treated with herbal medicine, otherwise she will have seizures later on.” I didn’t fully understand what my dad was talking about, so I ignored him.

My daughter got so ill that she could only take half an ounce of milk per hour. Before feeding her, I would use a syringe and shoot Zantac into her mouth to lessen the vomiting. As time passed, she needed milk more often, and consequently more Zantac. By the time Catherine was 8 months old, she needed to be fed and medicated 11 times a day.

I could hardly sleep, eat, shower or rest. Even at night, I had to drape my daughter over my shoulder for her to sleep. If I put Catherine down, she would vomit. I barely had time to squeeze in a 5-minute shower once or twice a week for myself. I was exhausted, but what could I do? I had to care for my daughter and do my best to survive each day with the hope that she would get better or at the very least her condition would not worsen.

Catherine had to wear a turtleneck with two sweaters along with a baby cap and scarf to be outside during the heat of summer, even when temperatures were 100 plus degrees. If I didn’t cover her up, she would have a runny nose, cough, and non stop vomiting. How will she be able to go to school or anywhere with air conditioning?

One day we went to a Vietnamese pho restaurant. After I set Catherine down into the high-chair, I turned around and adjusted my chair. Then I heard a woman’s shout, “Look at her!” I looked in the direction she pointed. It was Catherine…her eyes rolled up and her entire body stiff and shaking with fluid coming out of her mouth. Someone said, “Squeeze some lemon into her mouth.” I did it without hesitating and Catherine’s body relaxed.

We rushed her to the ER. For 3 days she was in the NICU where they monitored her brain. The doctors told me I was lucky because my daughter’s seizure didn’t last for more than 3 minutes which would have damaged her brain. After that I always carried a piece of lemon because I had no idea when my baby girl might have another seizure.

The seizures started to come weekly, so the doctor prescribed anti-seizure medication. Catherine wasn’t even 1 year of age, and already she was taking Zantac 11 times plus anti-seizure medicine 3 times a day. It was nearly impossible to administer the anti-seizure medicine because whenever I took out the syringe, she would cry and start vomiting.

I took Catherine to see a specialist at CHOC. I asked, “Doctor, have you ever seen any infant with this condition get well?” The doctor replied, “It depends. Some will grow out of it, but some don’t. If they don’t, then they will have to take medication for the rest of their life.”

“What do you mean by grow out of it?” The doctor explained that Catherine might get better by herself as she got older.

My mind was racing. “All this time the prescribed medication has not been treating her stomach?” The doctor said, “No, it only helps to guide the food down, so she won’t vomit it back up. That’s why you have to give it to her before the feeding.”

“Well, what if she doesn’t grow out of it?” In that case, Catherine will be dependent upon medication for the rest of her life. The doctor further informed me that she too was born with gastro reflux and is still taking medicine for the condition.

Her statement was like lightning in my brain. If the doctor can’t even treat herself for gastro reflux, how can she help my daughter? Seeing the futility of my path, I turned to my dad for help.

My dad advised me to stop all western drugs and to give her an herbal prescription 3 times a day. Administering medicine 3 times instead of 14 times a day to Catherine was a godsend to me. Even though it sounded too good to be true, I figured that I could still give Zantac to Catherine if she didn’t get better or continued to vomit.

After one month of herbs 3 times a day, Catherine vomited less and less. To test Catherine, I let her cry to see if she would vomit. She didn’t, so I knew she was getting better. After another month of herbal medicine, Catherine was able to wear less clothing without getting a runny nose, coughing, or vomiting. After 3 months of herbal formulas, she stopped having episodes of gastro reflux and seizure. Catherine will enjoy a normal, healthy life.

Because of Catherine’s dramatic recovery, I was sold on Chinese medicine and asked my dad to treat me. I fainted very easily, especially during the winter. After a few months of herbal formulas, I have never fainted again.

I started to have time to think and tried to understand why a piece of lemon helps to relax the muscles and stop a seizure. Lemon is a common citrus, yet it has magical powers that we don’t understand and underestimate. I wanted to learn more and find answers, so I decided to go to China which has a long history of herbal medicine. I went to TCM schools in China and Hong Kong and worked in the TCM hospitals to learn from the best herbal doctors in the world.

When I was there, I knew one day I would want to become an herbalist, but how can I get a steady supply of high-quality herbs. My dad and I backpacked across China and visited many farmlands. We interviewed farmers to grow herbs for us. Our products are used with the highest quality herbs that have been harvested at the height of their potency. They are substantially more expensive than less potent herbs that were harvested in the pre- or post-season.

After I came back to the United State, I worked with my dad and learned from his experiences and studied the formulas that our ancestors passed down. What I have been through helped me to understand the importance of health. Without health, don’t even talk about career, beauty, education, freedom, etc. I now have worked with many families who have suffered as I have. Their endearing appreciation drives me to work harder.

Our namesake "Silkie" is a Chinese breed of chicken that is well known for its calm and friendly temperament. They are gentle and caring and make wonderful mothers. A Silkie loves nothing more than brooding a cluster of eggs, whether they are hers or not, even if they are "duck eggs". We share the same outlook and care for our clients the same way we care for our own family.
