Interpretation

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the appearance, consistency, and odor of a furry friend's stool can provide insights into their overall health and balance of Qi (vital energy), as well as the state of their internal organs. Here's how TCM interpret certain characteristics of furry friend's poop:

Characteristics: Stool appears green or greenish-brown; may be loose or soft in texture. Color can range from light leafy green to dark green depending on bile content and diet.

Potential Causes: Rapid intestinal transit prevents full bile breakdown, high consumption of leafy greens, sudden dietary changes, or Liver Qi imbalance.

TCM Interpretation:

  • Liver Qi Stagnation: Stress or emotional tension can disrupt digestion and accelerate intestinal movement, giving stool a green tint.
  • Damp-Heat in the Liver and Gallbladder: Excess Heat or rich food can influence bile secretion and color.
